Spring Bouquet, Grow & Design Workshop - Sep 21

An introduction to growing and designing with spring flowers.
In this workshop Jess will share her love and knowledge for all things sustainable flowers. You will learn which flowers grow best in your area, when to start plating and how to start from seed. Strolling through the flower fields you will discuss how to look after your plants and learn harvesting tips and tricks. Heading back to the Farm House with an arm full of flowers you will then design and create your own bouquet of spring flowers to take home. All techniques will be demonstrated carefully and will be fun for all ability levels.

Sue will share with you which plants and kitchen waste can be used for dyeing, how to effectively mordant fabric and the technique of bundle dyeing. You will forage for botanicals in The Garden Shed’s flower plot to enable you to create your own unique cotton wrap or silk scarf reflecting the beauty of nature.
