Flow Hive Taster
- An Introduction To Keeping Bees In Your Backyard

Saturday 4th of April, 10am - 11.30am

Are you completely new to the world of bees, and want to learn? Ever thought about having a bee hive in your garden? This Flow Hive Taster Workshop is a brief presentation delivered in The Farm House, followed by a hands-on experience in The Farm Apiary. Take part in the interactive inspection of a working colony and enjoy a taste of some fresh honey extracted straight from the hive.

Get yourself suited up in the supplied protective gear, enjoy close ups of a hive inspection and take part in the harvesting of honey, enjoying a sample taste of delicious honey straight from the hive.

What To Bring?

  • Hat

  • water bottle

  • closed shoes (preferably work boots)

  • Notebook & pen (if you wish to take notes)

  • Please wear clothing suitable for wearing underneath a bee suit – ie shorts/pants and a shirt/top – dresses/skirts not recommended
