June 25 | 11am - 2pm
Celebrate World Localization Day by touring The Farm and share lunch with the locals who grow your food. With special guests Helena Norberg-Hodge, Dave Rastovich, Lauren Hill and Morag Gamble.
This June, as part of World Localisation Day, people all over the world are coming together to explore the power of localisation, and to honour the many efforts and initiatives that foster ecological economies, thriving communities and healthy local food systems.
Join us at The Farm on June 25th to celebrate our local growers and businesses, with special guest Helena Norberg Hodge from Local Futures, and Morag Gamble, global leader of the permaculture movement for change. Start your day with an educational tour with our Farm Manager, then get into the patch to see where and how your lunch is grown! We’ll then kick-off a Q&A with our collection of speakers to discuss how you can contribute to the shift from globalisation to localisation, and why its so important for thriving communities.
Ticket includes a picnic using produce grown by our growers collective, with all proceedings donated to Local Futures.
