This Term our focus will be on animal farming. We will learn and discover what animals are raised and kept on farms and why. We’ll delve into all the animals that are raised here at The Farm. Children will get to explore the roles and benefits of farm animals and regenerative farming practices.

Each week will see a new farm animal topic where children will gain a deeper understanding of the different life cycles, traits and uses of each animal, matched with creative activities and discussions to deepen their understanding. As always there will be ongoing discussions and hands on learning that encompasses; planting with the seasons, companion planting and how to build and maintain healthy soil. Children will be encouraged to get into our garden plot regularly to get their hands dirty. They will be responsible for planting, caring for, maintaining and harvesting from our garden.

Farm Kids is rooted in a play-based learning philosophy, fostering a strong connection with nature. Our program emphasises respectful partnerships with children and families, encouraging the development of strong friendships and, most importantly, having fun! We believe nature is the classroom, and our teachers learn alongside the children as they explore and grow together.
