THURSDAY 21 APRIL 2022
9.30am – 12.30pm | $70 | ages 5 to 15 yrs.
We start the workshop with an educational, hands on and fun tour of The Farm where we hunt for medicinal herbs and discuss what we find. We talk about the healing properties of herbs and their uses traditionally and currently and then we make handmade soaps and plant some medicinal herbs.
At the beginning of each workshop we take the children on an educational and fun tour of The Farm. We educate them about our cows, pigs, bees, chickens, flower crops, herb garden, orchard and veggie crops. We discuss concepts like paddock rotation for the animals, pollination, organic farming, healthy soil and composting and other ethical farming practices. The children get up close and personal with our pet chickens and when available we taste veggies, edible flowers and herbs.
