World Localisation Event: Discover What Thrives in Your Backyard

  • The Farm Byron Bay 11 Ewingsdale Road Ewingsdale, NSW, 2481 Australia (map)

Celebrate World Localization Day with a Guided Food Forest Tour at The Farm

You can’t get more local than your own backyard.

Our food system has lost its roots - this is your invitation to plant them back.

In honour of World Localization Day, take a walk through the food forest with Bunya—agroecologist, grower, and walking encyclopedia of edible ecosystems. He’s spent decades cultivating edible landscapes that work within the principals of nature.

You’ll learn what thrives in our region—crops like taro, cassava, and moringa—and take home cuttings to start your own edible patch.

Ryan, our Head of Sustainability, will also be there to unpack the global movement to relocalise food systems—why it matters for climate, health, and resilience, and how The Farm is living that vision, here and now.

Got a patch of dirt and a hunger to grow something real? This one's for you... Come walk, learn, and grow with us.

Saturday 5th July, 10:00am | $25pp | Includes propagation pack | Limited to 30 spots | Bookings essential | Meet at the Red Tractor on The Farm Field
