“We set a goal to be a part of the B-Corp community because we wanted to use the power of business for good. We are proud to be able to ‘give back’ and share The Farm’s own growth and success for the greater good; conducting a business where people and place matter. Of course, this certification is only the beginning, and we continue to look for new ways to have a positive impact on the local community, our staff and the environment.”
Ryan Sharpley, CEO – The Farm Collective
What is B Corp?
B-Corp is an accreditation that measures businesses against standards of governance, workers, community, environment, and business impact models. This certification validates companies that are genuinely considering the values of communities and the environment when making business decisions.

B CoRp and The Farm
What it means for The Farm is that we have now joined a growing global community of purpose driven businesses dedicated to using business as a force for good. We are among other amazing businesses in our region including, Stone & Wood and Flow Hive. These local businesses have each proven that they meet high standards of social, economic and environmental accountability and transparency.
The B-Corp certification also provides a framework for us to continually improve. This will challenge us through our future thinking and allow us to develop as a purpose driven business.
Some of The Farm’s actions contributing to our certification include:
Chemical free weed management and organic methods of farming
Paddock to plate philosophy and systems
Landcare and the regeneration of Simpsons Creek.
